We visited 2 pump sites today, with both requiring full repairs of the pump. The first pump had not been functional for 3 years, and the community was extremely excited to get clean water from the nearby pump. The second pump appreciated the repair as well. Regular ball bearings were installed to both pumps, and the Better Pumps team was able to get more information to take back with them from both sites. As for the Intelligent Water Project system, we continue to gather more data at each pump we visit and are still troubleshooting issues. Specifically, we have made progress on cellular communication, but are still facing issues with it. As the day came to a close, we interacted with the community by playing “football” and talking with them. Here are some of the highlights that we were able to capture on our cameras.
